Vogue UK's Best Dressed 2009

Victoria Beckham. Ja kolla listan själv och säg vad ni tycker.

1. ALEXA CHUNG Alexa was exported to New York to present the It’s On With Alexa Chung show for MTV. While there, she won over the US style pundits with her quirky style and kept us on side by staying true to the formula that won her our approval in the first place.

2. AUDREY TAUTOU
Having played the most important woman in fashion history, Audrey Tautou’s armoury of red carpet looks for the promotion of Coco Before Chanel was bound to be Chanel-heavy and very impressing indeed. It was.

3. SARAH JESSICA PARKER
With another Sex And The City film in the offing, and the recent release of Have You Heard About The Morgans?, SJP is back to top form on the red carpet.

4. CHERYL COLE
Yes, we watched for the musical competition but, if we’re honest, Cheryl’s bi-weekly fashion moments on X Factor played a big part in our viewing loyalty. Her choice of edgy designers – including Marios Schwab, Giles, Richard Nicoll (picture), and David Koma - earned her some serious cool kudos.

5. DANNII MINOGUE
And then there was Dannii, who was finally acknowledged as a contestant in the X Factor fashion stakes. Her hair – and her weekly get-ups from designers including Osman, Aurelio Costarella, J’Aton Couture and Donna Karan – kept us glued to our screens on Saturday and Sunday nights.

6. EMMA WATSON
Proenza Schouler (picture), Christopher Kane, Saloni, Jason Wu Emma Watson’s designer roll call during the publicity tour for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was something to behold. Her status as a genuine fashion insider was cemented when she was announced as the new face of Burberry.

7. SIENNA MILLER
Sienna Miller was the ultimate fashion plate during her promotional tour of duty for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra appearing in countless outfits from labels including ,Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant (picture), Peter Pilotto, Diane von Furstenberg and Derek Lam.

8. DIANE KRUGER

It was a fashion marathon for Diane Kruger who, in the process of promoting Inglourious Basterds, wore a staggering amount of well put-together looks with an emphasis on Chanel (picture).

9. FREIDA PINTO
After Slumdog Millionaire’s Oscar success earlier in the year, Frieda Pinto continued to wow us with her demure grace an knack for wearing truly juicy colours.

10. KATE MOSS
From the front rows of London and Paris Fashion Weeks to the Manhattan opening of Topshop, Kate Moss never falters when it comes to impressing the fashion critics.

11. LADY GAGA
Brave, right, wrong, genius, inspired or just plain silly? Does she pull it off? Who knows, but say what you will about Lady Gaga, she’s making fashion waves with Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen and Chanel - and we're wathcing. (On the photo she wears dresses by designer Thierry Mugler).

12. LILY DONALDSON

The quintessential off-duty model look is epitomised by Lily’s don’t-give-a-damn, boyish, easy coolness.

13. LEIGHTON MEESTER
Meester left her Upper East Side alter ego behind this year and adopted a fiercer look with looks from Louis Vuitton, Proenza Schouler (picture), Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana.

14. MICHELLE OBAMA
Michelle Obama is in a league of her own. Her trademark bare arms and belted tunics - and flair for mixing pieces from J.Crew and Gap with Basso & Brooke and Narciso Rodriguez – have earned her comparisons with that other most fashionable First Lady, Jackie O.

15.
ANGELINA JOLIE
Angelina stood by her man during his promotional appearances on the red carpet in support of Inglourious Basterds, reminding us just why the most handsome man in the world chose her to be the mother of his children.

16. GEORGIA MAY JAGGER
With access to her mother, Jerry Hall’s, sizeable wardrobe and a penchant for Vivienne Westwood dresses - the BFA’s Model of the Year, Georgia Jagger, had a stylish head start in the best dressed stakes. (I don't like her style at all)

17. ANNA FRIEL
Night after night, during her performance of Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Anna Friel exited from the stage door in a succession of enviable looks from Topshop, Diesel Black Gold, Antonio Berardi and a spattering of vintage finds thrown in for good measure.

18. OLIVIA PALERMO
Mixing classic up-town polish with an unerring sense of on-the-money proportions and colour, The City star Olivia Palermo never seems to set a stylish foot wrong.

19. CARLA BRUNI-SARKOZY
The French First Lady’s fashion pedigree didn’t let her down during the year when she faced plenty of style competition from both Michelle Obama and Spain’s Princess Letizia. Her go-to designer of choice? Dior, naturally.
20. BETH DITTO
Beth Ditto kept the usually stoic front rowers at Paris Fashion Week entertained with her infectious enthusiasm and string of specially-made designer outfits.
So, what do you guys think? Who should be there? Do you miss someone?

xoxo,
Vicky
